Oklahoma’s national title hoped got two big breaks Saturday. Boise State and Stanford both broke down and lost on their own home fields. So here Oklahoma sits at No. 5 in the latest BCS standings, with a date with Oklahoma State coming into the picture. The Sooners have a problem though. The lost to Tech is not going to help their chances, especially since the teams ahead of the Sooners lost to LSU. Would victory over Oklahoma State on Dec. 3 in the Big 12 title game change things in the voters mind? The Sooners are strong in the computers and this could help them. If Oklahoma wins out this would mean they would have five victories over top-25 teams. Call it a fluke if you want losing to Texas Tech, but championship teams don’t have fluke losses.
